Dear Friend,

Where to begin?
Where to end?
It's so hard to talk to you
Even though you're my best friend

I keep pushing
You aside
But now I've awakened
And I realized

I've been so so rude
to you
You may think no one cares
But I do

You are loved
You are cherished
You're never in the way
no matter what they may say
You are vital
A perfect child
I just want you to know
We could never let you go

Dear Friend

Every moment not with you
Is a moment of shame and stress
It's like the sky fell through
And we can't take a breath

You may think that you're
a bother
But I'm telling you this
as your brother

You are loved
You are cherished
You're never in the way
no matter what they may say
You are vital
A perfect child
I just want you to know
We could never let you go

Please don't let this fall apart
Let this touch your heart
Because this came straight from mine
Just try to see your worth
You were precious right from birth
And no one ever wants to leave your side

Dear Friend

You are loved
You are cherished
You're never in the way
no matter what they may say
You are vital
A perfect child
I just want you to know
We could never let you go

Dear Friend

"I don't know whether or not you'll see this, but I wanted to say these things to you the last time I saw you, but I just couldn't bring myself to. So, I did it the only way I know how to... A song. I wish I could say these things to you in person, but although I can write some amazing poetry, sometimes I can't even talk to a person without messing something up. I didn't want to mess anything up, so I wrote a song. I really hope you at least consider these words to be truth. They are. You need to believe that. You have this amazing quality of just brightening up the gloomiest of empty hallways and rooms, and somehow you feel as if you are a bother. That pains me. You know you aren't a bother, but you tell yourself that still. It hurts inside to watch you avoid us because you feel something that isn't true. Please just try for one day to push aside those lies. I'm always there to help. Remember these words, Dear Friend."
