I'll Be Right Here

This first line was probably the most personal one when I wrote it. I've always struggled with my appearance but after reading about people like Zacchaeus and Timothy, I didn't care as much. God made me perfectly and I won't question that.

They say you're not right
You say you're all right
They say you can't fight
But who are they to insult you

When the world tells you that you're nothing
When your heart seems to have given up
When you're lost and you know you're searching
All you gotta do is look up

I'll be right here
for you

We'll pull through together,
me and you

We'll make the haters
grow few

Because they'll see it's no longer you

uhh oh oh.

They say you're too small
I say you won't fall
they bring you sorrow
but you know I'll always stand by you.

When the world tells you that you're nothing
When your heart seems to have given up
When you're lost and you know you're searching
All you gotta do is look up

I'll be right here
for you

We'll pull through together
me and you

We'll make the haters
grow few

Because they'll see its no longer you

It's me and you.

So I'll be right here
I'll be right here
What could you fear
When I'm the one holding you?

So I'll be right here
I'll be right here
So please come near
I'll always be running after you.

I'll always be running after you.

So I'll be right here
for you

We'll pull through together
me and you

We'll make the haters
grow few

Because they'll see its no longer you

And there's nothing they can do

when its me and you.

ohhh oh.

This song was one I wrote when I was really depressed and needed some encouragement. I started getting these terrible thoughts about myself that I knew were from the devil. Things I would never write about. I was in my room, just laying on my bed in the middle of the night. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't think, all I could do was focus on those thoughts. Those lies. I looked over at my nightstand and sitting on top of it was my Bible. I picked it up and started reading what God said about me and suddenly every thought was gone. I spent about half an hour in His Word just reading pages of encouragement. I wrote this song that night as a reminder. A reminder of whose I am and a reminder of who's right by my side. These words are the words I felt Him saying to me that night, and I will never forget them.
