Can't remember the circumstances when I wrote this song, but I was very much into medieval history at the time, so that probably explains the theme.
I wanted to convey that the life we live is a war. I don't just mean that figuratively. This life is a spiritual war that we can't see, but we can feel and see the effects of it. Every day, battles are being fought. When a person decides whether or not to stand for the truth, there are both heavenly and demonic forces at combat. Even in the smallest of moments and the tiniest of choices, there is a duel between hosts and legions. We are all in the war together, and we can help each other through our own battles. We just need to push on and not give up, no matter what the enemy throws at us!
